Training

Law-Tech offers two Interview & Interrogation (I&I) classes in one.  We were founded in 1998 and since then, we’ve been the first, and still the only firm on the market, who teach both Forensic Behavioral Analysis (reading body language) and Forensic Statement Analysis (not handwriting analysis), in one 3-day class.

In doing so, attendees learn twice as many tools in one I&I class to increase officer/investigator safety through detection of truth and deception; reduce classroom time, tuitions, and investigation time; while enhancing the attendee’s ability to obtain voluntary, court accepted confessions, in a non-confrontational manner.  This course is designed for both new and seasoned officers or investigators and there are no prerequisites.

Upon class completion, attendees will be fully prepared to employ their new skills and will be awarded a lifetime warranty ($775 value) to call upon us 24/7 to assist in employing their new tools.

Law-Tech specializes solely in teaching how to identify truth and deception in a person of interest. Since 1998, we’ve primarily taught interview & interrogation (I&I) to law enforcement and upon request, we tailor our training for private industry.

Our flagship, 3-day, I&I class is the first, and still the only one on the market that teaches both Forensic Behavioral Analysis (reading body language) and Forensic Statement Analysis (not handwriting analysis), so attendees learn twice as many tools, in less time, to increase officer safety and enhance their ability to obtain voluntary, court accepted, confessions.

The course is designed for both new and seasoned officers or investigators.

Our training is primarily provided and designed for law enforcement; however, upon request, it has also been provided in private industry, to judges, prosecutors, doctors, even the clergy!

Law Enforcement Training

Our interview and interrogation training is available only to sworn law enforcement, both new and seasoned officers and investigators.

We reserve the right to allow those in related investigative fields (i.e. Certified Fraud Examiners, Special Investigative Units (SIU) etc.) to also attend.

The focus is to enhance the officer or investigator’s ability to identify truth and deception in a person of interest (i.e. victim, witness, suspect etc.).

Unlike any other interview & interrogation training on the market, we teach both Forensic Behavioral Analysis (reading body language) and Forensic Statement Analysis (not handwriting analysis), so you learn twice as many tools in one class. Using these tools together will increase officer safety, while also reducing investigative time, and enhancing your ability to obtain voluntary, court accepted, confessions.

As specialists in interview and interrogation (I&I), we offer one, primary I&I class. Our flagship, 3-day class (24 hours), is titled “Interview & Interrogation Plus Forensic Statement Analysis.”

Forensic Statement Analysis Training

FSA is not “handwriting analysis”, but rather, it is a proven scientific method to identify truth and deception in oral and written statements through the strategic analysis of each word used by the person of interest.

Studies show that recognizing “how” particular pronouns (i.e. I, s/he, we, they) are used, they alone can solve 80% of your cases! FSA is so powerful, in certain cases, a person’s own words can be easily transposed into numbers to identify a truthful, balanced statement. The new (and faster) way to prepare for the interview is to first obtain the pure story in a written statement. FSA will then identify sensitive topic areas to focus on, as these clues are given unknowingly by the person of interest, and only visible to the trained officer/investigator.

Then, during the interview, you will ask the questions as identified by FSA, combined with your new Forensic Behavioral Analysis skills to accurately read body language and non-verbal cues, to ultimately obtain the desired information and/or voluntary, court accepted confession, in a non-confrontational manner.

No, not at all. “Handwriting Analysis” is based on the belief that no two people can produce exactly the same writing and that a person cannot exactly reproduce their own handwriting due to writing variation.

Alternatively, Forensic Statement Analysis (FSA) is a proven scientific process by which, a person’s own written or spoken words are individually analyzed to determine truth and deception, and given the opportunity, their own words WILL betray them if they attempt to withhold guilty knowledge. In certain cases, a person’s own words can be transposed into numeric values to determine if they support that of a truthful, balanced statement. Studies show that recognizing “how” particular pronouns (i.e. I, s/he, we, they) are used, they alone can solve 80% of your cases! For example, in an arson case, through FSA it was determined that the person of interest (POI) referred to their house as “my” house multiple times before the fire and then after the fire began, subconsciously referred to it as “the” house.

This subtle change by the POI identifies the subconscious relinquishing of home ownership after the house burned down and was only identified by FSA. During a subsequent interview, with the interviewer’s heightened level of confidence, the POI confessed to the arson and criminal charges were filed.

FSA is beautifully complemented by our Forensic Behavioral Analysis (reading body language) techniques, which is why we teach both tools in one class to reduce classroom time and so the interviewer has twice as many tools in their interviewing toolkit.

Consider for a moment that a crime/suspected crime has been committed and there are multiple persons of interest (POI) that need to be interviewed. Interviewing takes time and preparation, which can be difficult to complete, particularly if you’re already carrying a heavy caseload.

To streamline the investigation efforts, with FSA, we simply invite the POIs to write a statement by starting at the beginning and telling us everything that happened. It’s that easy. Afterwards, from the comfort of our home, office, or even your patrol vehicle, we employ FSA to narrow the pool of true persons of interest, and then direct our investigative efforts only on those individual(s).

Why interview 10, 20, 50+ people when instead, FSA can do the hard work for you while decreasing investigative time and increasing your ability to identify the guilty person(s)!
