Class Description

The focus of this training is to familiarize the new or seasoned police officer and all investigators, with the various disciplines of “detecting deception”. This is accomplished through learning to read non-verbal body language, neurolinguistics, and applying a cutting edge technique to analyze verbal and written statements (not handwriting analysis).

Forensic Statement Analysis (FSA) is a powerful investigative method that reveals the truth hidden inside a person’s own words. By examining the structure, language, omissions, and subtle shifts within written or verbal statements, FSA helps eliminate bias and exposes whether a statement is truthful, incomplete, or deceptive.  When someone has guilty knowledge, they unintentionally betray themselves — through missing information, changes in language, lack of commitment, and how they describe people, objects, and events. FSA trains you to spot these clues instantly and use them to drive your interview or investigation forward.

Advanced applications of FSA can even convert statements into numerical values, allowing truth and deception to be identified through a proven mathematical formula.  FSA is not handwriting analysis — it’s a must‑have tool for anyone who needs to uncover the truth with precision and confidence… while also enhancing their safety.
